Ending Homelessness within the Community

In 2009, PCEH partnered with the Early Head Start program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Together, through PCEH's SafeHome Philadelphia initiative, we have ensured that parents can focus on the health, education and well-being of their children from the stable foundation of a home.

In 2010, we'll be reaching out to community-based organizations, strategizing with them on how to build capacity so that they can move families from unsafe housing AND prevent them from entering shelters by providing them with SafeHome housing supports.

Homelessness has been an issue for far too long; in this new decade, it's time to focus on housing. If you are interested in helping us with this work, please contact us at mail@pceh.org. Stay tuned for updates!

10 Year Plan to End Homelessness

Sheila Crowley, President of the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, called PCEH's 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness "a conscience rattling examination of our obligations, our opportunities and our options. Take a look Mr. President and Mr. Secretary," she wrote, "what we have to do together is all here. Housing is the linchpin of the plan." Click on the image to check it out.
