Philadelphia Committee To End Homelessness is proud to share the second recipient of our last grant cycle, Asylum Pride House (APH). Asylum Pride House is the country’s only 501(c)3 nonprofit specializing in providing wraparound services to support LGBTQIA+ immigrants from countries around the world including China, Haiti, India, Morocco and more.

APH works to provide comprehensive services by offering transitional housing, necessary initial resources, wellness programming, and comprehensive case management services. In Philadelphia, APH offers a long-term housing program that is dedicated solely to housing LGBTQIA+ immigrants. This long-term housing comes in the form of a five-bedroom, two bathroom apartment, capable of housing six individuals, with each resident provided their own fully furnished, lockable room.

Because many of their clients arrive with little to no personal belongings, APH provides residents with hygiene products, clothing, and food, and thoughtfully prepares each bedroom with the essentials. With a $50,000 grant from PCEH, Asylum Pride House will be able continue to support this program, purchase necessary materials as clients move in and out, make apartment repairs, and improve their case management process.
