PCEH Announces First Grant Recipient: Eddie’s House

Eddie’s House is a nonprofit dedicated to providing knowledge, opportunity, caring and support to inspire our participants so they may find their own self-respect, self-worth, sense of belonging and foundation for a sustainable future.

Through well-rounded programming, Eddie’s House empowers youth with education opportunities, a community center, life and job coaching, housing resources, and more. Over the past 15 years they have served over 7,000 participants, providing food, clothes, career workshops, resumes/job search, safe spaces, housing support and housing. Eddie’s House believes that providing a safe, loving, nurturing environment is a key factor in creating a sense of belonging and community.

PCEH’s grant has funded Street Outreach Workers in West Philly to connect with unhoused community members and offer resources tailored to their needs.

Eddie’s House welcomes support from the community to power their life-changing programs. Community members can donate their time, services, supplies and money to help support their work. To learn more about ways to get involved, visit their website here.
